Originating from the strange land of Toronto, Zöey started her artistic endeavours at a very young age — first specializing in acrylic and oil paintings with a side of street art and game design. She eventually left art school to venture off to the west coast in search of organic artistic inspiration.
Some wild adventures and a couple front desk gigs down the road, she found herself surrounded by a juxtaposition of old and new architecture and a whole lot of Francais. She began her tattoo career officially at Oly Anger Tattoo in Laval, Quebec & Vieux-Port, Montréal. Since, she finished off her apprenticing stage at Tattoo Abyss in Griffintown, Montréal then decided to make the leap back to her favourite coast mid pandemic.
Since landing in Vancouver and year three of tattooing, she’s branched from focusing on traditional style tattooing to illustrative blackwork & neo noir. Within this spectrum of styles you can find bold lines, fine liner work, dark imagery, lots of black packing & whip shading for days—dotwork or stippling, as some call it. Taking on blackwork projects big or small, “keep it bold, keep it weird”.
